"I'm trying to write an lj entry and sucking at it."
Hey, yo. I'm sorry, you may have forgotten about me by now, what with the no updates in forever. Insert sad emoticon here, etc., etc.

I started my summer classes on Monday. German and Art History II. It's... going. Right now I have a bundle of German homework to do, and unfortunately some of it requires a listening cd or something? A cd I don't have. A cd that the school has, somewhere. I dislike this arrangement. It confuses me. (The answers seem mostly to be in the back of the book. I may have to cheat on the listening ones.)

I saw Pirates yesterday! A week behind everyone else! Yaaaaay! And yet the theatre was still super-crowded. Anyway, my thoughts are thus: Orlando Bloom is boring, Davy Jones is awesome, Norrington got badass/hot, and I would like an undead monkey.

Okay, so I edited this and this... both are entries on the Fan History wiki about BttF fandom. So, you know, the relevant people can read them over for accuracy. If they want to.

Internet, have you finally gone insane? That is a parody of the "All Your Base" video, now redone as "All Your Snakes." This is like ouroboros, literally (snakes!) and figuratively (the Internet is eating itself!).

And, also in the realm of amusing the hell out of dorky people, it's the fictional characters anonymous hate meme! Someone play Venture Brothers or Back to the Future with me? Please?

Off to try to write and/or draw now. Or something. ghostgecko and I have a very fun idea for a movie script to collaborate on. It's awesome possum. But not with possums. Think rodent rather than marsupial.

Hah, I wondered if that Marty was you! I love cracked-out RPs. Note that he is getting Doctor Who to play with him. Doctor Who is getting in almost every thread. Doctor Who is a fandom whore.
Ehehe. I hope this goes for a really long time so that I have time to think up interesting replies.

Oooh. We get a Wiki. *quietly breaks out champagne* They both look quite accurate to me.

I hated the German CD that came with my book. Couldn't understand it no matter how many times I listened to the questions. I looked the answers up in tbe back of my book too, but I also failed that class.
DrWorm: weirddrworm on July 24th, 2006 06:16 pm (UTC)
Yep, Marty is me. Were you Doc? I dunno, I don't think Marty wants to go on another trip. He's dragging his feet.

Thank you for the Re-A prompt, hehehehe. I've also brought in Diogenes, for better or for worse.

And, well, we get a page in that particular wiki. I've also thought about adding other fandoms, but the BttF one already existed so...

*sighs* I think I got a CD-ROM with my books, but not a cd. Arrrrgh. I can never understand the people in the listening exercises either, though.
R is for Raygun: Just here for the porn.kleenexwoman on July 24th, 2006 08:38 pm (UTC)
Nope, someone beat me to being Doc. Nice surprise to find when I logged on. The fun thing about this meme is that people can just take over characters, though, since it's anonymous...Was this Diogenes you too? I can never tell. It's so, so great.

gah, I want more time to roleplay and there's a lady behind me who wants to check her E-mail. Damn public libraries and their time constraints.
DrWorm: an honest mandrworm on July 24th, 2006 08:51 pm (UTC)
Oh... but was the longer Doc post yours? *curious*

And that second Diogenes isn't me! I want to know who it is now. But the Aloysius in that thread is me. And the D'Agosta now.

Whaaaaa, oh no. :( It is super-fun, but less fun when you are essentially replying to yourself.
R is for Raygun: It sees you!kleenexwoman on July 25th, 2006 05:52 am (UTC)
As much as I would like to take credit for either of them, I am not. (Squeaky toys. Heheh.) I am not that great with in-character RPing. Tends to take me a long time to think up responses that are lame; an eternal shame of mine, because fandom RPing is such fun to do. I have had half a day to think up responses to half a dozen entries and I have not done so yet, for I am lame.

On an unrelated note, about Horrorfind: If I managed to get to your house before you left, whenever you are leaving for it, could you take me along? Elisa said she would sell me her ticket and hotel room for cheap, and the only thing I'm missing is transportation. I do so want to go.

I was just wondering if you'd fallen into some kind of super-fun alternate dimension and forgotten this one. :)

I wish. I've fallen into the school dimension, as of late, and so I'm mostly sleeping and trying to learn stuff and then sleeping some more. Sigh.

MONKEYS CLAW MY FACE EVERY TIME I COME INTO CONTACT WITH THEM. Just the one time, but it's enough to count as every time.

Really? Aw, that sucks. My encounter/s (multiple encounters with the same monkey) were quite pleasant. He was totally adorable, though unfortunately I couldn't say the same for his owner-person.

Or possums. Are they considered rodents?

Well, possums are marsupials, so I'm guessing no. Unless you have a very broad definition of rodents. Which some people might. I dunno.

Now I'm wondering whether raccoons are rodents or what.

Dude! I have not forgotten about you! In fact, I was just thinking, "My teeth are healed, I'm off of pain medication (although that had it's perks), and I only work three nights a week. We must go to a bad movie and laugh hysterically in the back while people glare and throw things!"

Yes? Or something like that?

My work schedule for the week is: Tomorrow 4-9, Tuesday I made sort of plans already, Wednesday 6-9, off until Saturday or longer. And nine is convenient to get to movies any time after 9:10, really, as long as they aren't at Plaza. I made a Devil Wears Prada showing in time and it "started" at the time I left work. Go previews.

Also, could a possum make a cameo? Perhaps just peaking around a corner some place? I like possums.
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 24th, 2006 06:25 pm (UTC)
Hmm, yes, that sounds good. Glad your teeth are healed (I need to get on the ball and get that done myself; mine are pushing my teeth all wacky-like). Let's see... Thursday or Friday okay? I have class until about 1:40 and I get back around 2:00 usually. So anytime after that is cool.

I don't really know what's playing, uh, so is there anything you want to see? Ironically or non-ironically?

Also, could a possum make a cameo? Perhaps just peaking around a corner some place? I like possums.

Hmm, well... maybe there could be a possum in the lab somewhere. I dunno how well they work as test animals, but it would be fun anyway.
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 26th, 2006 03:36 am (UTC)
Ugh. By healed I mean no longer gaping wounds requiring regular doses of vicodin... but healed, yes. I'm glad I got rid of them before they started doing all sorts of crazy things.

Thursday or Friday are good with me, and after two is good because of my horrible sleeping habits. But I have no idea what we should see/do. Umm... There's Clerks, Lady in the Water (snarfalupagusacorn and all), Pirates of course (and I totally tend to agree with you on your summary, especially the bit about the undead monkey. Wow), Monster House, Click, My Super Ex-Girlfriend (whatever that's all about. It confuses me)... Um... I'm up for anything, movie or otherwise. I have sort of tentative plans both of those nights, but during the day I'm doing nothing, especially Thursday.

Hum... somehow I don't recall hearing of many tests done on possums; perhaps because they're always sort of mean and evil and everything anyway.
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 27th, 2006 01:58 am (UTC)
Oh god, don't scare me with descriptions of gaping holes. That is one of my few fears. I even have the recurring dreams with teeth falling out. :(

Anyway, it turns out that tomorrow (er, which is Thurs.) I have an appointment at 3 and will be back in Kent at around 4:30ish. So I dunno how that works for you. Friday, though, I get out of class around noon and should be free for the afternoon.

I could go for seeing Clerks (not that I've seen the first one, of course) or PotC2 again. Cuz Pirates are funstuff.
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 27th, 2006 07:36 am (UTC)
Ahh! Sorry. There were actually no real gaping holes that I ever had to see or deal with. The whole thing was actually very un-gorey, and I'm horridly squeamish when it comes to... just about everything. It just hurt, and then itched, but it was all nicely patched.

Um... Tomorrow is sketchy, but I have no idea. Friday we're apparently going to the fair at 6, but you're being free at noon leaves plenty of time. I love when plans are made for me without my involvement. "We're going to the fair at six on Friday. You are coming." "wha?"

However, I'm off completely until next Tuesday, and even then I don't work until four. So, hummm... argh.

As far as movies, umm... I'm up for either of those two.

Ahahahah. We are so bad at this.
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 28th, 2006 03:17 am (UTC)
Yes, we are bad at this. But on Friday and Saturday, Pirates... is playing at 12 and 3 in Kent. And I bet that's not going to change too quick.

So, is there a time/day that is best for you when it comes to Pirate-seeing? I'm in more of a Pirates mood, I think...
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 28th, 2006 07:04 am (UTC)
Three is probably better tomorrow, because I'm on a campaign to get the mother to take me to the mall for bras that I don't really want to pay for, so if that happens noon wouldn't work so well.

Saturday noon or three don't make much of a difference, although if I don't get her to go shopping tomorrow... aggh.

And Pirates is totally awesomely fun, so three in Kent on Friday or Saturday? Day... doesn't really matter much to me. Possibly Saturday is better, actually. ahhh I do not know. Do you have a preference?
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 29th, 2006 02:42 am (UTC)
Okay, since Friday has passed, shall we say three tomorrow (Saturday) for Pirates in Kent?

Oh, also, Crown Shoes called me today and I have an interview there tomorrow at 11. Hehehehe. So you can put in a good word for me next time you go in or something, I dunno.
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 29th, 2006 04:25 am (UTC)
Ahahah yeah. Once again, we are so, so bad at this.

And woooo Crown Shoes! You're totally interviewing for my job, sadly. I will definitely say something when I work Tuesday, but hopefully you'll know tomorrow if you got it. I basically knew once the interview was finished. I warn you that Dejan is a little... odd. Well, they all are. But he's quite a good guy. And the grammar on the signs in the office is going to make your head spin! ahaha. Good luck!!!

Would noon be better for you since you'll basically be going right past there once the interview is over? It seems kind of silly for you to be driving all back and forth. I can totally do either, and noon might even work slightly better. (How I ever manage to make plans with people is totally beyond me; I can never keep track of what I'm supposed to be doing.)

My cell number is 221-3867. I'll definitely check here tomorrow when I get up and I'll be ready to go at noon regardless, but just in case I figured it's probably a good idea to give it to you. I may have before, but if I don't even remember if I have I doubt you still have it.

Woo, Pirates!!
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 29th, 2006 04:33 am (UTC)
Okay. Well, provided the interview doesn't take too long (and I don't really anticipate it taking too long), I should be able to make the 12 show. Coolness. I'll call you if anything changes, but hopefully nothing will.

I'm just hoping that my current summer school hours won't be an issue. Crap, I probably ought to look up my fall hours too, just in case. *hates interviews*
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 29th, 2006 04:38 am (UTC)
It shouldn't take an hour; mine didn't. And even then, previews are previews. But yeah, I'll be around and can change plans whenever. There's always Sunday if things get really out of hand.

Your school hours shouldn't be an issue, I wouldn't think. He's really good about working around stuff like that. Princess comes in in the mornings, goes to school, and comes back in the afternoons, since she's working full time. The only reason I can't work with my school hours is my not having a car, because with classes and buses there's just far too much wrangling that would have to happen to make it worth it.

Ugh. Interviews are totally horrible. Good luck!
DrWorm: geeks we bedrworm on July 29th, 2006 04:41 am (UTC)
So I'll meet you at the theatre then? You don't need a ride? *just want to make sure and everything*

And, yes, wrangling with buses is the suck and super-difficult. I can see why it wouldn't be worth it.
I'm Ellen "Scrunch" Lyle.: Angelhortonhearsawho on July 29th, 2006 04:51 am (UTC)
Uhh yeah. I'll have the van "Unless something happens!" which is the standard disclaimer in case the house blows up or something and then I can't take the car.

So I'll meet you there. If the house blows up, I can always call Crown Shoes and ask to talk to you. Ahahah.

Blah, buses. I'll be working close enough to walk there, which means... campus job. Yuck.

Agreed. Playing the organ with tentacles is amazing, despite how fake it looks. ^^
DrWorm: balanceddrworm on July 27th, 2006 02:01 am (UTC)
Aw man, I thought that was one of the better effects. Then again, I'm fairly ignorant of what organ-playing with fingers looks like, sooooo... yeah.

The Kraken at the end was a pretty lazy job, though. Not integrated well with the foreground and Jack.
