I hear that. I've been trying to write Herbert/Dan since the fifth frickin' grade and I'm still stuck. Herbert's too damn complicated for me to master. Every time I write him, he ends up as a snitty bitch-slap prone easily distracted and prone to extreme violence elf. Dan, however, is rather easy. Frightened bunny rabbit=Daniel.

As for icons...I'm so doin' that. The only problem now is now I have to figure out how to made decent icons. Oh the horror.

I did manage one bit of Herbert/Dan tripe, and as much as I'd like to write more... it's all sort of... pfuh. Not coming together very well, much as I'd like it to. Except in the smarmiest of ways, which just seems so horribly wrong.

Haha, yes! Oh, he is so easy... sort of frightened, bewildered, and bemused... but still endearing in an almost-normal-person sort of way. Herbert, on the other hand, has to walk a fine line between campy, serious, and studious... and any emotion other than righteous indignation just seems wrong. So weird.

As for icons...I'm so doin' that.

I have to admit, it is fun...

Yes, I found that last night and loved it. It may not be perfect, but you've done a better job with Herbert than probably the rest of the world could've. Including me. I'm thinking of hunting you down the movie novelization for a late Christmas present. My mother somehow found a copy for me for my birthday last year and it's almost as good as the movie. Helluvalot more slashy than the movie as well, which surprised me quite a bit. But hey, I'm not complaining. :3
