I'm picspamming because, uh, I'm tired and words are hard.

I meant to finish this for Crispin's birthday but ohhhhhhhhhhhh well. :/

I like bats.

Colin Clive and Boris Karloff in make-up and costume on the set of Frankenstein. Hanging out, taking a break, having some coffee and a smoke. This is, indeed, the greatest picture ever.

End with some kitties.

Oh, and I've been moving some of my screencaps from my own site to the Livejournal gallery. Well, they give me a bunch of space and my site has gotten so haphazard and sprawling... the Crispin galleries are here and the Jeff galleries are here. Nothing new yet, but maybe someday.

Thank you! Yeah, I was definitely hoping for eerie. Well, that and I like red.

The Frankenstein pic just makes me want to clap every time I see it. And find some way to get a big enough to be poster-sized. It's just that awesome.

Thank you! And yes, that bat is soooo adorable. I totally wish you could keep bats as pets, they're just so great.
Wisecrackswisecracks on July 7th, 2007 07:16 am (UTC)
Don't some places allow you to get a license for them? I thought fruit bats were okay to keep. Could also be wishful thinking.

Hmmm, based on a five minute google search... well, it doesn't look like it would be easy. You'd probably have to get a permit as someone who will rehabilitate found/abandoned/injured bats. Then you'd probably have to have all the necessary equipment, like special cages and whatnot.

I would probably still do it, or attempt to do it. kleenexwoman suggested just getting some sugar gliders to satisfy the need for little creatures with big soulful eyes. But I think I have residual guilt because when we found bats in my old house, my dad would generally kill them. :( I wanted to take them to the vet or something, but noooooo. Unfair. I'm sure he was worried about rabies, but still. Still.
