It has been a good birthday!
This tickled me too much. Mostly the "dress funny" part.

I went and saw Iron Man for my birthday! It was sweet! RDJ is, sadly, very attractive, as I seem to say to myself every time I see him in a movie. And it seems I am like many others and mostly just want Jarvis to bend Tony Stark over a table or something. I don't know, they're so married. That is weird, stop being gay-married to your computer, Tony.

Also, I have concluded that once you are rich, the only thing left for you is to become a superhero.

Anyway, I finished a Mission: Impossible / Man from UNCLE fanvid today:

It's actually the second one I've done for Man from UNCLE; this is the first. So productive. Sort of.

Aaaand simmysim gave me a little birthday V-gift thing. Thank you!

If anyone else wants to give me a present, you can rec me some Doctor Who/Torchwood fic. Doctor/Master, Doctor/Jack, Owen-related stuff. I was watching vids on youtube last night and it made me want, um... well, the Doctor, apparently. LOL oh me.

"Twenty Things to do in Cardiff When You're Dead" is pretty awesome, having the distinction of being one of the few fics I've read from beginning to end without taking breaks to look at other stuff, too. Also, "Trying to Communicate" does not fit any of your criteria, but is required reading in Torchwood fandom. I've got a bunch of other good stuff in my memories.

Uh, and I don't usually rec my own stuff, because that's lame, but I have written a couple things you might find interesting: a Doctor Who/Iron Man movieverse crossover and a Doctor Who/Torchwood fic touching on the Owen issue. (I assume with these recs that you're fully up-to-date on TW and have seen at least through the end of series three of DW.)

Thaaaank you. I have to admit that I'm severely behind on Doctor Who and Torchwood at the moment, which is what happens when you're stuck on 1960s shows while everyone else marches forward. :/ Anyway, getting somewhat caught up is the new goal for the summer, and once I'm there it'll probably be safer to go around reading things. I used to have a stash of bookmarks of DW and Torchwood fic, but then Firefox did that thing where it deleted all my bookmarks and I lost them. So. And that was last summer anyway, so I figured more had happened while I wasn't paying attention.

I did read your Iron Man crossover, though, and loved it! It fit together so damn well, totally awesome. :D

You're welcome. Glad I could help out! Losing your bookmarks suuuuucks. People are good about warning for spoilers in Torchwood and Doctor Who fandoms, though, so you should be safe as long as you're careful to read the headers.

Thanks! It was almost crazy how well that crossover worked. I barely had to do any work on it. It just built itself.

I'm glad you had a good birthday. :) Your videos are very well-done!

Thank you! The videos are such a fun distraction... :)

Shit, i forgot your birthday even tho LJ sent me a reminder. HAPPY BELATED! I never found any good Doctor Who slash in the past, but then again i only looked for five minutes.

Good god, why did i not think about Jarvis/Stark? Does that make all the little helper robots their kids?

I almost never remember LJ birthdays and I'm also replying to this after like 10 days, so I think you're very excused. And I just put that out there, about the Doctor Who fic, in case anyone had any handy. I lost a bunch of bookmarks awhile back and I'm still a little bit pissed off about it. :/

Good god, why did i not think about Jarvis/Stark? Does that make all the little helper robots their kids?

YES EXACTLY! They make little robot babies together! :D And it's only slightly weird!

Hey I hope you don't mind, I added you after finding your lj randomly. i saw all of your pics of james dean, and i'm a huge fan of his. where'd you find all of these pics? specifically the huge one at the top? i understand if you don't wanna add me back, haha, but i just have to know where you found these photos
DrWorm: busydrworm on May 22nd, 2008 02:51 am (UTC)
Oh hi, hey, that's cool. No problem.

All the James Dean pics, well, a lot of them I just found around the web in various places and thought it'd be helpful to put them all in one place. The big ones are screencaps from documentaries that either I made or I took from a gallery that I would link you to, except it doesn't seem to exist anymore. :/ So that sucks.

Actually most of them are from Forever Young, but I also keep meaning to finish screencapping Sense Memories at some point.

Ah. I've been meaning to order "Forever Young". but anyway thanks for letting me know! a few years ago these photos of Jimmy were never around. It's good to see all of these news ones these days. thanks again :)

right. the above was me, by the way -_-
DrWorm: fuck me up!drworm on May 25th, 2008 06:57 am (UTC)
Heh, that's okay.

Forever Young is not... um, it's not really a great documentary, in terms of being in depth or particularly factually accurate. But it has a ton of old footage and photos, so I would say that makes it worth it.

a few years ago these photos of Jimmy were never around.

It's so weird, I really expected there to be more stuff online about James Dean... because, I mean, James Dean. But there really wasn't that much. I even have books with pictures that I haven't seen online (and if I had a working scanner I'd put them up as well).

Ah well. Glad to hear that someone else got something out of them! :D

Really? I hear it's a good docu. for any Jimmy fan. Meh, I'll see how that goes... haha.

But yeah it's true, the net sucks when it comes to info him. Have you read "The Mutant King"? it's a really good bio on him, with strange and funny stories from people who knew him. You really get a sense of who he was... which was many things :P
