On the plus side, I finally managed to work out who it was that did some sculpture I remember liking when I took Sculpture 1 and was reading through the books Dylan brought in: Tom Friedman, and this is the piece I was thinking of specifically. I warn you, it's kind of gory, if you can call a paper sculpture gory. It is a "self portrait in a state of fragmentation produced by a motorcycle accident." And this is the other one I was thinking of: Erased Playboy Centerfold. Ha-ha and all that. I like the cleverness of his art and his sense of humor. People always scoff at that. Whatever, art is hilarious.
To illustrate that point, I have some pictures of myself that I took in preparation for a self-portrait based on one of Odd Nerdrum's paintings. This is the one I'm hoping to use, although there were some others that I don't have a link for, as they are in a book.
One with flash:
And here's a nerdy one of me attempting to emote with a towel around my neck for a different painting:
And if you're interested in seeing all of them, god knows why, the gallery is here. A lot of them look very similar though, so I figured posting them was just redundant.
Also I'm working my way through Watchmen. Liking Rorschach is a given, though I will always love the Question more... but aww, I think I like Dan the best. It's just, aww, Dan. :D
And now I am going to go paint... nnnnow. Yes.
